Climate and Sustainability Insurance and Risk Reduction Program
This bill would have established the Climate and Sustainability Insurance and Risk Reduction Grant Program within the California Department of Insurance. The goal of this program was to identify innovative approaches to insurance that build economic resilience. This program would have focused on communities with low insurance uptake and geographic locations subject to extreme heat, wildfire risk, flooding, or biodiversity loss.
